A Large Healthcare Firm with Stagnant Sales:

A coach pushed all managers of a large, well-known healthcare firm to reexamine their goals and values.

 

Business had been pretty steady, but was not showing any noticeable signs of steady improvement. The staff was experiencing more stress than usual, simply because they, like many companies, often have to work harder to maintain the business they already had.

 

The managers were lost as to what they could possibly do to boost productivity and improve staff satisfaction.

 

The coach recommended that these groups be assembled for occasional offsite activities, simply to take them away from their daily grinds.

 

Ultimately, the managers organized retreats (such as picnics, Tai Chi and massages sessions, etc.) and encouraged employees to keep daily journals of their at-work activities. By year’s end, sales across the company were up close to 30%.


The Corporate Refugee:
